Mattel’s DC Superheroes (DCSH) line was started in 2006 as the company’s answer to ToyBiz’ super-successful collector-oriented Marvel Legends line. The first series of DCSH was mostly just rehashes of previously released figures from Mattel’s earlier Batman line, but the series would only get better from here. Featuring detailed sculpts by the 4-Horsemen design group and a high level of articulation and poseability, the DCSH line was an instant hit.
